National Botanic garden in Kyiv

The National Botanical Garden, one of the largest in Europe, was founded in 1935. Its territory is 130 hectares. Its collection of lilacs and magnolias has for a long time been the visiting card of not only the Botanical Garden itself, but of the city of Kiev.

Nikita Botanical Garden

Nikita Botanical Garden in Yalta founded in 1812 is one of the oldest in the world.  It is a large scientific research institute as well as a beautiful tourist attraction.  Its total area makes 1100 hectares.  Collections of the Nikita botanical garden includes over 50 thousand types, forms, sorts and hybrids of plants from many countries of the world.

 

Sofiyivka

Sofiyivka is a national dendrological park of Ukraine.  There are many scenic areas there including waterfalls, fountains, ponds and a stone garden. It was founded in 1796 in Uman, about 200 km south of Kyiv.

 

Uzhan National Park

The National Park is located in the north-west of Transcarpathian Region and is a part of the trilateral Ukrainian-Polish-Slovak ‘The East Carpathian Mountains’ international biosphere reserve, first of its kind in the world. It is listed in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.

Uzhan National Park consists of five science and research branches.  Its area covers 39159 hectares including 14.9 thousand hectares of protected land.
