The National Opera of Ukraine

The National Theatre of Opera and Ballet is a glory of Ukrainian musical culture, known all over the world.  It is a Temple, where a palpitating solemn ceremony is performed by the true and genuine art, merging hearts and souls of actors on the stage with these of spectators sitting in the hall.  The great magic of music and dance here brings all of us into the world of grand art evolving in supreme pleasure of harmony and spiritual enrichment.

Odessa National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet

The theatre itself is interesting not only by us architecture, but by its rich creative history.  The great merit in the development of musical culture in the south of our country belongs to this theatre.  Its stage was used by P.Tchaikovsky, N.Rimsky-Korsakov, S.Rachmaninov, Ezhen Izai, Pablo Sarasate and others to present their works to the exquisite public of the South Palmyra.  There appeared on the stage the actors, who glorified the home art, the great singers: Fyodor Shalyapin, Solomiya Grushelnitskaya, Antonina Nezhdanova, Leonid Sobinov.  Tito Ruffo, Batistini, Jeraldoni also sang here.  Anna Pavlova, the first world ballet-dancer, danced here.

Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre

Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre is over 100 years old.  Tickets here are very modestly priced by Western standards although many stars of Ukrainian, Russian and world opera have performed here, such as Enrico Caruso, Mattia Battistini, Solomeya Krushel’nits’ka, Alexander Mishuga and others.
