Day 1

  • Arrival in Kyiv. Transfer to a hotel.
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Visit to St. Sophia Cathedral – a unique monument of ancient Russ architecture of 11c., masterpiece of world architecture and arts. Viewing of original frescoes and mosaics.

Day 2

  • Breakfast.
  • Sightseeing tour of Kyiv – capital of Ukraine. Kyiv is one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. It’s situated on the Dnieper River, founded in 5th c. Its rich history is embodied in its ancient architectural monuments. Nowadays Kyiv is a political, cultural, spiritual centre with its unique urban architecture and magnificent monuments.
  • Visit to Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra – a holy place of Christian Orthodoxy with architectural ensemble of 11-13 cc. At present time Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra is an active monastery and National Historical Architectural Preserve. Visit to the cathedral, museums, exhibitions, and caves with the remains of the Orthodox saints.
  • Dining out at Ukrainian restaurant with Ukrainian folk show.

Day 3

  • Breakfast.
  • Visit to State Open-Air Museum of Folk Architecture and Habitat. Wooden architecture of 16-20 cc. is displayed in the museum. It is represented by living quarters and auxiliary buildings, windmills, churches.
  • Boat trip along the Dnieper River.
  • Dinner. Kyiv Opera or Ballet performance or Pipe Organ Music Concert at active Roman Catholic Church, monument of architecture of the beginning of 20th c.

Day 4

  • Breakfast.
  • Tour of the ancient Kyiv. Visit to 12-18cc. churches. Kyivo-Mogilyanska Academy – the oldest higher education establishment of Eastern Europe. Walking tour of St. Andrew’s Descent – the so-called ‘Kyiv’s Montmartre’ with its museums, theatres, antiques and crafts shops, cafes and restaurants.
    National Fine Arts Museum of Ukraine. Ukrainian iconography of 12-17 cc.; Ukrainian avant-garde.
  • Dinner.
  • Transfer to the airport. Departure to Lviv.
  • Late arrival in Lviv. Transfer to a hotel. Check-in at the hotel.

Day 5

  • Breakfast.
  • Sightseeing tour of the city, which itself is a museum in the open air. Walking tour of ancient streets with their architectural monuments: St. Nicholas Church of 13c., John the Baptist’s Catholic Church of 13 c., Church of Assumption of Our Lady of 16-17 cc., Dominican Cathedral of 18 c., St. Yur’s (St. George) Cathedral. Rynok Square (Market square), Armenian Cathedral of 14 c., Opera House – one of Europe’s best theatres.
  • Lychakivske Cemetery – historical memorial with the graves of outstanding figures in culture, science and pictorial art, whose names may be found in encyclopaedias of the world.
  • Dinner. Visit to the Opera House.

Day 6

  • Breakfast.
  • Full day trip to Oleskiy Castle (80 km from Lviv).
    Survey of the palace ensemble of 14-15 cc. (Renaissance Style).
  • Lunch at Ukrainian Restaurant “Gradnytsa”.
  • Return to Lviv.
  • Dinner.

Day 7

  • Breakfast.
  • Visit to the open air Museum of Folk Architecture and Lifestyle of Ukrainians.
    Fine Arts Galleries to display work of pictorial art, sculptures, European graphics dating from Medieval Times till nowadays.
  • Dinner.
  • Organ music concert.

Day 8

  • Breakfast.
  • Visit to the Museum of Furniture and China, which has on display china, glassware, ceramics of Ukraine, Belgium, Russia, France as well as unique collection of 19 c. – beginning of 20 c. furniture.
  • Transfer to the airport for homeward flight.
